‘Passing Narwhal’ Photo Wins Award

With his photograph "Passing Narwhal," Ipeelee Itorcheak of Iqaluit has won the annual photography contest held by Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. The contest, open to beneficiaries of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement, selects monthly winners throughout the year, with one of those twelve candidates going on to become photo of the year.

Second-place honors went to "Waiting under the Moon," by Niore Iqalukjuak, and Susie Qaunaq's "Narwhal Tusk" placed third.
