Whoopi to Redskins Controversy Denier: ‘Spoken Like a True White Guy’

The table of gabbers on The View recently found themselves discussing the power of language and labels, and the conversation ended up as a one-on-one between Whoopi Goldberg and that day's guest, conservative commentator Will Cain.

Goldberg said that groups have the right to stand up and say that a term is hurtful, and cited the example of the Washington Redskins.

Cain shot back, "Everyone's offended all the time, from the Fighting Irish to the Redskins…"

Goldberg's response: "Spoken like a true white guy."

(And as an aside: Oh no he didn't. He did not just try to draw the false equivalence between Indian mascots and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.)
