ABOUT THE SUBJECT: Tanis Parenteau (Métis/Cree) holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor of Physical Education with a focus in Physical Activity and Sport Performance. In the gym, she does what she loves–strength training. Getting stronger eases the stress of daily activities, physically and mentally; develops self-confidence; and builds her the body she wants–strong, lean and with shape. Tanis works as an actor based in New York City. She will appear in the Netflix original series House of Cards (Season 2) which stars Kevin Spacey and this January in the world premiere, Off-Broadway production of "Miss Lead" by Mary Kathryn Nagle (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma), directed by Madelaine Sayet (Mohegan), produced by American Indian Artists Inc.
