In a recent meeting with residents in Palmer, Mohegan Sun debuted the name and brand of its proposed Western Massachusetts project: Mohegan Sun Massachusetts.
The casino owned by the Mohegan Tribe will launch a new website and a direct mail and active social media campaign. A new logo will feature a railroad track motif to reflect the city’s history with the industry.
The tribe is competing for a casino license in the Western Massachusetts region along with three other firms. The $600 million Mohegan Sun Massachusetts is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs, said Mitchell Etess, CEO of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. The 152-acre resort would include a luxury hotel, casino gaming including slot machines and table games, world-class restaurants, branded retail stores and meeting/entertainment space.
