Climbing Your Family Tree: First Steps in Research

Victoria University will hold a two-day genealogy course on October 6 and 13. The course will be taught by Rachel Brown, a genealogy teacher and will start with advice on where to go, what beginning researchers will find and how it will lead to further information.

Brown completed a degree in history at Victoria University in 1999 and has been teaching genealogy for more than a decade. She has also been researching her own family tree for more than 20 years.

The cost of the course is $160 and will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the Victoria University website to register.
