Fighting Sioux Nickname One Step Closer To Being Retired

University of North Dakota and NCAA officials met yesterday over the status of the Fighting Sioux nickname. The NCAA again denied changing its agreement to allow the nickname to stand, but what comes next it up in the air.

“The reaction was the agreement is in place..the deadline is in place..and things are not going to change pretty much, ” Representative Al Carlson told ValleyNewsLive.com. “There’s a point in time where you have to move on.”
