The National Park Service will offer free admission to all National Park Units during the Veterans Day weekend, Saturday, November 10 through Monday, November 12, 2012 in honor of those that serve and have served in the United States military.
“There’s no better place than a national park for superb recreational opportunities, making them perfect places to enjoy our beautiful land, history and culture, and nurture a healthy lifestyle” said Superintendent Denice Swanke, of Little Bighorn Battlefield.
“In these tough economic times, fee-free days at National Parks are an opportunity for families to enjoy our nation’s heritage and natural beauty in meaningful and affordable ways,” she added.
The Battlefield is presently showing a 25 minute film titled, “Triumph and Tragedy Along the Little Bighorn,” upon request.
Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument winter hours of operation are 8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. The self-guiding Deep Ravine Trail and tour road to the Reno-Benteen Battlefield are open 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. daily.
