Genealogy Workshops at National Archives in Kansas City

The National Archives in Kansas City will present three genealogy workshops this month. The first, on November 12 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. will focus on military records and be presented by archives director Lori Cox-Paul. The second and third workshops, on November 15  and 30 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. will be an Introduction to Genealogy with archives specialist Jessica Edgar, who will go over how to get started researching your family history at the National Archives.

All workshops are free but reservations are required. For more information and to make reservations call 816-268-8000 or email kansascity.archives@nara.gov.

The National Archives serves the Central Plains region and is located at 400 West Pershing Road in Kansas City, Missouri. It is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for research and the exhibits are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
