Google Doodle Celebrates 125th Anniversary of Largest Snowflake

Visit Google today and you’ll see a doodle celebrating the 125th anniversary of the largest recorded snowflake.

The flake was reportedly 15 inches in diameter when it fell to Earth in 1887 at Montana’s Fort Keogh, near Miles City. According to ACheyenneVoice.com, the Northern Cheyenne settled around this area in the early 1880’s. The Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation is now in Lame Deer, which is in southeastern Montana.
