Grants Available to Native American Nonprofits

Nonprofits that provide education, cultural or recreational programs for Native American youth and young adults are eligible for grants of up to $10,000 through the Riverside Church Sharing Fund, which administers the Densford Fund.

Criteria for funds to assist Native American youth must provide “educational opportunities for American Indian young people,” according to the application form. Past recipients include White Bison, Inc. and Denver Indian Health and Family Services, both in Colorado, and Catching the Dream, in New Mexico. In 2007 each of the three Native nonprofits were granted $5,000.
