Greater Tulsa Indian Affairs Commission Honors George Tiger

A pillar of Oklahoma’s native community was recognized Thursday night. The Greater Tulsa Indian Affairs Commission honored George Tiger with the organization’s life-time achievement award. Stricken with polio as a child, Tiger didn’t walk until age seven. A member of the Muscogee Creek nation, Tiger is an influential member of the Indian community, serving as a consultant to various tribes and as a liaison between federal, state and tribal governments.
