Tonight’s the night to catch the 2012 edition of the National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, now the Indspire Awards, on your choice of two channels: The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, and GlobalTV News. Hosted by Blackstone‘s Carmen Moore and hockey great Theoren Fleury, the show features musical performances by the likes of Robbie Robertson, Derek Miller, the Métis songwriter and pianist Chantal Kreviazuk, singer Carey Newman, mezzo-soprano Marion Newman, Métis actress and singer Andrea Menard and others. Grammy Award–winning Cherokee singer Rita Coolidge will also perform.
The awards will be broadcast at 7:30 p.m. EST/PST, according to Indspire, showcasing these 15 winners who are examples of what can be accomplished with the power of perseverance.
