Kara Kimbrough at the Laurel Leader-Call wrote a story suggesting Vegas isn’t the only game in town when it comes to being able to go on a casino tour. In fact, Mississippi, “casino capital of the South,” has plenty of options for the gamer in all of us.
Kimbrough takes you on a tour of the state’s gaming facilities, and two of those stood out for us here at Indian Country Today Media Network.
The first, the 27,000 square-foot Bok Homa Casino, located on Choctaw Road in the Bogue Homa Community near Sandersville, is the newest casino in the state. This casino is a part of the Pearl River Resort, owned and operated by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
The second is the Pearl River Resort complex itself, which also includes the Silver Star Hotel and Casino, the Golden Moon Hotel and the Arena of the Golden Moon, Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, and Geysar Falls Water Theme Park.
