Mohegan Wigwam Held Today on Ancestral Grounds of Fort Shantok

Today and tomorrow marks the Mohegan Wigwam, which is being held on the ancestral grounds of Fort Shantok on the banks of the Thames River, in Uncasville, Connecticut.   The start time for each day is 11 a.m.

Native crafts and food vendors will be available at the event, along with drumming and dancing competition.  Chief Malerba and members of the Tribal Council and Council of Elders will be attending on Saturday.  Fort Shantok is just south of the Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville off of Route 32 on Fort Shantok Road.

Public parking will be at the Mohegan Sun, with shuttle buses running to Fort Shantok.
