Oneida Nation Elders Quilts to be Donated to Wounded Soldiers

The Oneida Nation Elders have made 50 lap quilts that they are planning to present to Major William Otis from Fort Drum in Watertown, New York on August 16.

The quilts were made as gifts for the Wounded Warriors Unit at the Watertown Army base. The unit is for soldiers injured in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The presentation will take place at the Nation’s Children & Elders Center in Oneida, New York.
