Pow Wow of Love

The StateNews.com reported that this past Saturday, February 12th, American Indian performers expressed “their thankfulness through dance” at the 28th annual Pow Wow of Love at Jenison Field House in Albion, Michigan.

“Members of the North American Indigenous Student Organization, or NAISO, and ASMSU hosted the event to foster an understanding and respect of the Native American culture on a diverse campus, said Marcus Winchester, a comparative cultures and politics senior and NAISO co-chair,” StateNews.com reported.

The NAISO planned for this pow wow for more than a year, and were pleased that they were able to host six dance troupes, 15 vendors and about 1,500 people who attended.
