Do you hear that drumming in the distance? That's the beating of your weekend pow wow approaching!

We've put together a great list of a few pow wows happening all over the nation this weekend just for you!

If one of these events is located in your area, we highly recommend heading over to enjoy some lively dancing and drumming, thrilling musical performances, and delicious, authentic foods!

Drums on the Yadkin
When & Where: May 17 – 19 in Jonesville, North Carolina.
Friday is Children’s Day starting at 9 a.m. with special programs throughout the day. These kid friendly festivities will include flint and steel fire making, dancing, storytelling, and more! Admission is free to all for the weekend. For more information about this event, click here.

Fourth Annual Susanville Indian Rancheria Memorial Pow Wow
When & Where: May 17 – 19 in Susanville, California.
According to their website, the Susanville Pow Wow has become so popular in the past four years that they had to move to the local fairgrounds to accommodate all the powwowers! Your host drum is Lightening Creek. Grand entries are at 7 p.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. on Sunday. For more information about this event, click here.

Tunica-Biloxi Pow Wow
When & Where: May 17 – 19 at the Tunica-Biloxi Reservation in Marksville, Louisiana.
Festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by Hawk Henries, followed by the grand entry at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday both begin with performances by Tunica-Biloxi Singers & Legend Keepers at 10 a.m. For more information about this event, click here.

Drums Along the Hudson
When & Where: May 19 in Inwood Hill in New York, New York.
Celebrating its eleventh year, the Drums Along the Hudson pow wow is an all day celebration in upper Manhattan. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday with performances from the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Henya Second Sons, and Cloud Drum Group. Admission is free.
