The Red Lake Nation will host a fundraiser to prevent youth suicide at its Fair Celebration and Pow-Wow on August 27.
Riders will ready their bikes at the Red Lake Fire Department in front of other participants in the Red Lake Nation Fair Celebration Parade at 10 a.m. on August 27. As the first in line, bikers will lead the parade.
Registration and breakfast for all riders begins at 8 a.m. at the Fire Department.
The event’s organizer Bill May requests that bikers ride along with other motorcyclists to show support for this worthy fundraiser. “Our ride will take place in beautiful Debs, Nebish, Blackduck area and on to the Red Lake Nation, all the way to one of the most beautiful sights on the Red Lake reservation called ‘The Point,'” May said in a news release.
All participants should reach the finish line at 4 p.m., “and then we will feast with a Famous Red Lake Walleye Fish Fry for all registered riders and passengers,” May said. Door prize drawings will also take place after the ride.
Entry is $25 per Bike and $10 per additional passenger.
At 5 p.m., a $500-pot poker game will commence. There is a $10 buy-in.
