San Diego Intertribal will host its 25th Annual Indians in Sobriety Campout, a grassroots movement of Native and non-Native people in recovery from addiction, from July 21-24 at Ma-tar-awa Campground on the Viejas Reservation in Alpine, California.
The annual campout has traveled to 23 tribal communities since its founding in 1986 at a tribal gathering in Tucson, Arizona.
As part of the American Indian Recovery & Spirituality Event, activities will include healing ceremonies as well as Alcoholics Anonymous & Native American meetings, wellbriety talking circles, wellness walks and hikes, speakers and raffles.
Registration is free, and San Diego Intertribal strongly encourages pre-registration to help anticipate the number of people in attendance. For more information, contact Kim Flandreau @ email@example.com.
