Shortly following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on January 24, Senator Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, released a video reaction. Murkowski felt he handle some things well, but fell short in areas like creating jobs.
“I support the President when he says we need to consolidate the job training programs and focus on making sure Americans have the skills. But remember, if there are no jobs to go to, the best training programs are not going to help us. We know full well, in Alaska we have a wonderful training facility in Fairbanks but we need to have a pipeline before we can move people into an effective training program,” she said.
