Snow sports website OnTheSnow.com, which provides ski and snow reports and news about more than 2,000 ski resorts around the globe, reports that both Ski Apache and the Inn of the Mountain Gods have come under the ownership of the Mescalero Apache tribe.
Located in Alto, New Mexico, Ski Apache has more than 750 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain, all located in the mountains of the Mescalero reservation, situated above Ruidoso, a small village in Lincoln County, N.M.
OnTheSnow.com reports that wow that the tribe has taken over, the road is clear for an “indoor-outdoor” package for visitors who plan on skiing, snowboarding, or gambling on a weekday. These weekday specials allow guests to take the slopes by day and cruise the casino, restaurants and rooms of the Inn by night. These special offers run from Sunday night to Friday night, and they include transportation between the inn and the slopes as well as two all-day lift tickets.
