The Carnival of Cultures has been a staple in some form at Southeastern Oklahoma State University for the past 20 years.
A press release points out that it’s a way for faculty, staff and students to experience the cultural diversity of the campus, and to commemorate heritage, traditions and food of the international students.
This year’s carnival was held November 15 and featured 20 participants from the International Students Association. The students celebrated through song, dance and spoken word for a crown of about 120 people.
