Sponsorships Sought to Send Low-Income American Indian Families to NBA Basketball Game

NativeNewsNetwork.com reports that The Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission is looking for sponsorships to send low-income families to a NBA game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies this March 24.

This game is being billed as the Clippers Native American Heritage Day, with plans for American Indian singing and dancing before and at half time.

The director of the Los Angeles City/Count Native American Indian Commission, Ronald Andrade, told NativeNewsNetwork.com that this is not a fundraiser, but rather that all the funds and tickets will be distributed to low income families, “with attention on children who are in the Indian Child Welfare Act program.”

What is being asked of the potential sponsors is the purchase of ten tickets or more, which run $15 a piece.  Sponsors will be identified on the jumbotron, as well as on other display boards throughout the game, at the Staples Center, the home of the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers. All tickets donated will be tax deductable.

If you’re interested in being a sponsor, or know someone who might, please contact Ron Andrade at 805-404-1490 or Lauren Kimball, Group Events Coordinator with the Los Angeles Clippers at 213-763-4617 for more information.

The game is scheduled for 3:00 pm pacific standard time, on Saturday, March 24.
