The Second Annual Native American Health Care Conference in conjunction with the Native American Diabetes Workshop is coming to Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 23-24, 2011. The conference follows December’s event, which attracted 200 attendees to Rancho Mirage, California to seek solutions to financing health care in Indian Country, building health care facilities and fighting substance abuse and alcoholism issues.
Hosted by Native Nation Events, the two day event will bring more debated topics and networking opportunities to the table. Attendees can meet senior representatives from both tribal and professional sectors.
The year’s conference agenda will address national health topics, relations between the federal government and sovereign nations, tribal success stories, and preventative measures tribal communities can implement to combat illnesses and afflictions, and methods to finance health care in Indian Country.
Native Nation Events recommends Native leaders, Native communities, Indian health program Chief Executive Officers, Clinical Directors, Chief Medical Officers, Nurse Consultants, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare providers attend. “It is also for bankers, lawyers, architects, insurance providers, and others who work with or are looking to get started in forming strategic partnerships in Indian Country,” states Native Nation Events.
