It’s time to get down to Sarasota for the Fifth Annual Sarasota Indian Festival at the Sarasota Fairgrounds on January 27-29.
There will be plenty of American Indian craftwork on display, from hand made, one of a kind fine arts and crafts such as paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, bead work and leather work, along with plenty of food.
It’s not just a delight for your eyes and taste buds but your ears as well. Rick Bird and the Bird Choppers from Cherokee, North Carolina will be performing traditional drumming, singing and various styles of dance throughout the weekend. Your guest entertainer is award winning flutist Douglas Blue Feather, with James Hansen as the guest story teller.
