The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1, the latest installment of the Twilight series, had its Hollywood premiere Monday night, and members of the Wolfpack—shape-shifting Quileute Indians played by Chaske Spencer, Kiowa Gordon, Bronson Pelletier and Alex Meraz—joined co-stars Kristin Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on the black carpet. Native actors Gil Birmingham, Booboo Stewart, and Julia Jones, who also play Quileute tribe members, were also on hand.
Making the Rounds
Hair of the Wolves
Hair was a top concern for at least two of the stars, who tweeted pictures of their new ‘dos. On Thursday, Kiowa Gordon sent this one out and mentioned an upcoming film project, The Lesser Blessed:
@CircaKiGordon: New haircut as Johnny for the lesser blessed. @russrusso is lurking. Haha thanks @seanjameshair
The day of the premiere, Bronson Pelletier hit the salon:
@sonofbrown: Just got my hair chopped. Got to say It feels good. Lol
Dressing for Success
With the hour approaching, Chaske Spencer put on his sharp threads and let the fans have a peek:
@TheRealChaske: I’m ready to hit the black carpet!!!
At around the same time, Alex Meraz was getting into his fancy outfit tweeted “Getting suited up for the Breaking Dawn premier… I look like the Count of Monte Cristo, feeling sharp like cheddar!!!”
PopSugar caught up with Meraz on the black carpet:

Miss Jones Got a Thing Goin’ On
A reporter from video news service MatimoTV.com also caught this footage of glamorous Julia Jones on the black carpet:
Jones was also recently featured in a Boston Common profile and fashion spread.
Jones, whose father is part Choctaw, Chickasaw and African American, reminisced about her youth in Boston. “I didn’t realize the significance of not being white until I moved to LA, she told Boston Common.
Jones wasn’t the only one playing dress-up; Kiowa Gordon was spotlighted with an interview and fashion shoot for website Da Man published the day after the premiere. Gordon spoke of his deep connection to his character and the Twilight saga.
“I knew the moment I said my first line that this is what I live for, this is who I am,” he says. He also speculates that he’d be a CIA agent if he weren’t a Hollywood actor and admits he lives his life by some words of wisdom from The Lion King.
